Music wants to get closer to you

有很多朋友對我說，聽音樂給人的感覺就是很有氣質，
所以每次有音樂會的時候，總是全家扶老攜幼，共襄盛舉，
用崇敬的眼神注視著舞台上的演奏家，或是戶外轉播的大銀幕，
可是，沒有歌詞的音樂為什麼那麼難？我們都聽不懂……，
萬一演奏的作品艱澀又沒有任何旋律，許多人就打退堂鼓了！

Many friends told me that listening to music can be associated
with poetic temperament. So every time when there is a concert,
they would like to invite all the family members, young and old,
to enjoy the performance all together. With great admiration, they gazed
at the artists on the stage or even watched the performance synchronically
broadcast on the huge screen outside the music hall.
But they still wonder why it is so difficult to enjoy tunes without lyrics.
“We just don't get it,”they said.Many people just give up when the pieces
being performed are too obscure and without any strong rhythms.

其實，音樂是世界上最抽象最可愛的語言，不會限制你欣賞的自由，
也不會束縛你想像的空間，當演奏家把美麗的音符傳播到空氣中，
就是音樂想親近你的時候，聽的懂聽不懂有那麼重要嗎？
音樂是天地送給人們最珍貴的禮物，你可以選擇聽自己最喜歡的類型，
古典、爵士、搖滾、流行、新世紀……音樂想做你最要好的朋友，
不管你快樂、悲傷、寂寞、孤單、生氣或任何時候。

In fact, music is the subtlest and loveliest language in the world.
It gives no bounds to your liberty of appreciation, nor does it limit the scope
of your imagination.When artists send their glamorous notes into the air,
it is the time when music wants to get closer to you.Does it really matter if you
can fully understand every implication of the music?
Music is the most precious manna people receive in the universe. You can pick
your favorite among various genres—classical music, Jazz, Rock, Pop music,
New Age… When you are cheerful, sad, lonely, solitary and annoyed,
music can be your best friend at any time.

我聽過很多音樂，也是常常「鴨子聽雷，對牛彈琴」聽不懂。
沒學過深奧的作曲理論，也沒有華麗出色的演奏編曲技巧，
所以從小就立志當作曲家的我，想做的就是與你心靈相契的作品，
「幸福花園」這張CD，我把許多朋友的心情故事都寫進作品裡，
你聽到自己的聲音了嗎？我們的生命在人生的某個階段相遇了。
感謝我的爸爸媽媽家人老師，以及所有支持齡之創作的朋友。

I have been listening to music of a wide range of variety and had a usual
experience of incomprehension—as described in the old sayings:
“Ducks hear the thunder” and “Playing the lute to a cow.”
I never learned any profound theories of writing music, nor am I equipped
with brilliant and outstanding skills of composition. For me, making a resolution
of being a music composer in my childhood, the only thing I want to do is creating
pieces in harmony with your mind.This album, The Garden of Bliss,
is composed of private stories and experiences of my friends.
Do you hear the voice of your own? That will be a nice and intimate encounter
between us at a certain stage of our lives.My greatest gratitude goes to my family,
especially my father and my mother, as well as my teacher and all the friends
who support me in pursuit of my original music.
